Wellness

There is a Buddhist saying:“Do not think lightly of good meaning that happiness/good/positivity will not just come to you. Drop by drop is the water pot filled. Likewise the wise one gathering little by little fills oneself with good”.

Perhaps ask yourself are you choosing to fill your pot of happiness little by little?

What makes us happy?

We can’t be happy all the time, it’s just not possible. However, if we consciously invite happiness into our lives then it makes dealing with life's challenges much easier. Negative thoughts, simply add to the negative feelings. However, if we introduce happiness to our daily lives, by sitting or walking meditations, thinking of someone who really cares for us, or resisting posting those negative comments , then those little positive bursts of happiness will add up. This results in the creation of a bank of goodness in our subconscious mind and hey presto. Life can actually become brighter and happier!

Another route to improve happiness is through the science of Ayurveda (originating in the eastern cultures) and is translated as ‘knowledge of life’ and to put it very simply it teaches us how to live wisely and to take responsibility for our own health and well-being before we reach for the help of others (doctors). The ancient Ayurvedic texts dating back to 100 BC talk of how we make conscious choices in relation to diet and also how our daily actions and these choices can either be life-enhancing or not.

Here at Praana Wellness we are firm believers that even the smallest ‘doses’ of Ayurveda can help improve your well-being and happiness. Come and let us show you how!
