Yoga therapy uses the power of yoga to help or heal individuals with illnesses (such as MS, Motor Neurone, Anxiety and Stress related illnesses) or injuries (especially sports related injuries).

More About Yoga Therapy
I am a psychotherapist and an adults and kids yoga teacher. I came to teaching yoga after 25 years as psychotherapist because I could see the benefits a yoga practise could offer to people challenged with mental health issues. Pranayama (the breathing element of our yoga practise) as well as the meditation element coupled with introducing clients to yoga’s sister medicinal system, Ayurveda has increased the success in managing and treating common disorders such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder, stress and depression for my clients. I would say that I have developed a more individual and vedic approach to treating clients therapeutically over the past five years, incorporating traditional evidence-based psychological approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the practise of yoga.
